Last week, MPE&VCA Founding Member and Insitor Country Manager Bradley Kopsick judged a competition for enterprises that are creating significant social impact in the country.The “Myanmar Inclusive Business Challenge 2019” was organized by UK aid-funded DaNa Facility and the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association (MYEA). Eight finalists from Myanmar pitched their ideas: Future Glory, Klenic, Snacks Mandalay, Mya Ayer, Maha Agriculture, Myint Myat Taw Win, Shwe Taung Nyo Gyi, Shan Maw Myae.
“The Ministry of Industry is firmly committed to the Inclusive Business and remain committed to partners in ASEAN,” said Daw Aye Aye Win, director general of Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection (DISI). The Challenge was supported by the Inclusive Business/Impact Investing Steering Group, a public-private initiative co-chaired by the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration and DISI.
