Savin Mao is the Chief Investment Officer of Emerging Markets Investment Advisers, a member of MPE&VCA. He also serves as an Executive Director at Emerging Markets Group Holding (EMGH) and a Non-Executive Director at FWI Corporation (Cambodia).
A private equity and sustainable finance professional, Savin is passionate about building stronger businesses and stronger institutions, and ultimately contributing to a more prosperous Cambodia and frontier markets.
Over the past 15 years, he has worked across investment management, governance, ESG, business development, and board leadership in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. He works with investors, entrepreneurs, and management teams to create long-term value through responsible investment and good governance.
His interests span private equity, sustainable finance, corporate governance, SME development, leadership, and the long-term economic transformation of Cambodia and frontier markets. He believes that successful investing is ultimately about people, trust, and long-term thinking.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from NUS Business School and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with CPA Australia.
