123zay.com.mm joins the E-commerce realm

On the first storey of one of Yangon’s historic downtown buildings, at the junction of 40th street and Merchant road, lies a newly launched boutique of local produce, vying to be part of the e-commerce growth in Myanmar, following the heightened social media censorship in the country.

123zay.com.mm held its soft opening in mid-June, about a year after developing its online website to become a full-fledged e-commerce platform in the near term. Meanwhile, its well-decorated boutique offers validity and in-person experience to its customers. The platform still has a long way to go — its finance team is still in talks with banks to integrate all types of payment systems and other services.

123Zay is in fact, in a race with other platforms that are all competing to become one of the leading e-commerce platforms from Myanmar in the near term, if not the star player.
